Volunteer AI experiences for children in after-school programs

01 — Overview

A first encounter with AI,
learning through play.

AI Learning Lab is a volunteer activity that provides free making experiences using AI tools for children in after-school care.

Through enjoyable creative experiences, we remove assumptions such as AI looks difficult or has nothing to do with me, and help build the foundation for next-generation digital literacy. This is social contribution work, not a commercial service.

03 — Program

Four Experience Programs

Image Generation AI Workshop

Children build imagination and digital literacy by generating their own characters and illustrations with AI. Printed works can be taken home.

AI Music and Video Creation Experience

Children try composing original music and creating short videos with AI. The success of making something themselves encourages motivation to learn.

Research Learning with AI Chat

Children use conversational AI such as ChatGPT to explore topics they care about, learning how to ask AI questions and evaluate information.

Presentation Session

By presenting AI-created works to friends, children develop expression and communication skills while experiencing the joy of creating and sharing.

Why we do this
as volunteer work.

AI is not only for specialists. We believe it is deeply meaningful for children to experience AI early and feel that they can turn their own ideas into reality.

We continue this free volunteer activity so every child can access AI experiences regardless of economic circumstances or local environment.
